Our vision at Glückskind is “ Every child is a lucky child ” - and deserves the very best quality for delicate skin.

Very few people know how bad synthetic fibers (such as polyester) are for the skin - they are made of petroleum , can cause allergies and are not breathable (contrary to expensive advertising promises). They also smell quickly .

Glückskind develops its own exclusive fabrics that cannot be purchased anywhere else in this quality. We only use natural and organic natural products, such as superfine merino wool, delicate mulberry silk or soft Tencel. 100% organic, GOTS and Bluesign certified, fair, good pay, regional and sustainable!

When our first child was born in 2015, we quickly became frustrated when it came to finding the right clothes for our beloved baby:

• Clothing must be comfortable to wear and comfortable . It is also intended to optimally protect sensitive baby skin from day one.
  
• Clothing should be colorful , with cheerful and individual motifs and beautiful colors
• The clothing should be sustainable , organic and socially acceptable

What have we found? Nothing .

At least nothing that sufficiently meets these fundamental criteria. Astonished by the lack of quality, boring mass-produced designs (unicorns, Disney characters and other "brand madness") and looking for alternatives to the all-dominant cotton, we decided to solve this problem ourselves .

All of our yarns and fabrics carry the Oeko-Tex Class 1 certificate and the GOTS ( Global Organic Textile Standard ) certificate, which, in addition to the organic seal, also guarantees the social compatibility of the entire supply chain! Our Merino & Tencel blend also bears the Bluesign Certificate.
